I recall that Bruce moved to near the end of my street, Reavis Place, and entered my elementary school, Clark, in about 3rd or 4th grade.  I kind of lost track of him after elementary school but everyone knew he was extremely smart, a genius, and knicknamed him Einstein.  So I thought he would probably really go far in the science field and that was certainly confirmed about him in the obituary and Wiki information linked/posted here, though I was not really that surprized, knowing him.  At Clark elementary or perhaps a little later at Hixon junior high school, Bruce and Rick Barr used to take their HO model scale race cars and remove the motor windings and replace/rewind with special super high quality wire which made them go much faster.  Nobody else even thought of doing that or at that age or even had the slightest clue how motors worked.  Class of '74 staff - thanks so much for sharing that fascinating information about Bruce.

I also lost track of one of my best friends in high school, Bob Swain and it seems that Bob has not joined.  The only thing I heard about him after high school was that he moved to Oregon or Washington state to join his older brother on a fishing boat.  Bob was an avid fisherman in high school and we went fishing together often, even in winter when the fishing pond had about 1/4" of ice on it.  I caught a 4-lb bass on that outing.
