Nancy, Was the most caring kind person i have ever known. Her artistry amazed me. Our parents were good friends and i have known Nancy since we were little kids and was one of my best true friends. i have great memories from growing up in Webster Groves as well as her family coming to our farm after we moved to Washington mo. area during my sophomore year and later staying in touch when she attended Central Methodist College.. Later Our family and kids all played together when we returned to the St Louis area. And continued to stay in touch once they moved to Pensacola Florida. We always looked forward each Christmas anticipated her custom creative beautiful Christmas card that many of you may have received. We have kept the whole collection. Even the main reason i am able be on this website was after the HS 40th reunion that Nancy attended and she showed me the pictures and i mentioned how much i would have loved to see so many friends from growing up in Webster for 16+ yrs. She got me on the list and we planned on attended the 50th reunion together with our spouses. Some of our last conversations were planning for attending the October 50th HS reunion. She seemed to be stabilizing in her cancer tx. And we hoped and prayed we would be able to all get together knowing it may be last time. Sadly as you have read in the CaringBridge or obituary website she took a quick turn for the worse and i will miss her dearly. I know she was looking forward so much to see old friends at the reunion and i still may attend but with great sadness of her loss. respectfully Rusty Bond

I met Nancy at Bristol Grade School. We became fast friends and spent so much time together. Sleepovers at each other's houses, bumper pool at her house, sailing with my parents, and acting in a theater group together were just some of the time we spent together. When we moved on to Hixson, she and I decided to go to the Junior High dance together. Unbeknownst to us, we wore the exact same dress. We were so embarrassed we stood against the wall the whole night. Nancy was with me the night I met my husband, and I was with her the night she and Kent got together. I had the privilege of being a bridesmaid in her wedding. I will always treasure my relationship with her. She was a wonderful bright spot. So kind and thoughtful. I was also looking forward to seeing her at the reunion. I will miss her dearly. I pray for her husband Kent and their three sons. She was blessed with her first grandchild last year. An amazing woman gone way too soon. Deb Hellstern McGonagle
